Autumn is a wonderful time to visit the Ozarks. The air is cool, the leaves are transforming with their palette of warm colors – and the events just keep coming here in Eureka Springs!

For most communities, there’s not a whole lot going on between Halloween and Thanksgiving. In Eureka Springs, however, festivities are so common that Halloween looks like just another day of the week.

November 2019 will see the venerable Ozark Folk Festival celebrate its 72nd anniversary – but that’s not all. Not by a long shot.

67th Annual Original Ozark Folk Festival

Original Ozark Folk Festival logoAmerica’s longest, continuously running folk festival, the Original Ozark Folk Festival, is celebrating its 67th return, October 7 – 11, 2014.

The Original Ozark Folk Festival has been held every year since 1948 and, from the very start, has featured true Ozark locals playing traditional folk music,
often on homemade instruments. The Original Ozark Folk Festival is more than music, however. It is also craftsmen and artists selling genuine Ozark folk masterpieces that they’ve whittled, painted, and sewed.
