2024 Solar Eclipse over Eureka Springs, Arkansas
What the 2024 solar eclipse will look like from Eureka Springs

Experience the April 8th, 2024 Solar Eclipse from the highest peak within Eureka Springs’ city limits, home to 5 Ojo, the only 4-star, historic B&B in town!

The 2024 Total Solar Eclipse is coming and we won’t see another like it in the lower 48 until August 24th, 2044. The 2024 eclipse cuts diagonally across the US, from Texas to Maine. This path cuts a wide swath through Arkansas, with a totality lasting over 4 minutes.

Though Eureka Springs is not directly under the 2024 eclipse path of totality, we’re still quite close. So close, in fact, that we’ll be treated to a near full eclipse. An eclipse’s “path of totality” is the area where you can see a total eclipse. Outside this path, the farther away you are, the less eclipse you’ll see.

If you’ve never experienced a solar eclipse it may be hard to know why they’re so arresting to witness in person. No picture of this stunning natural event does it justice, no matter how high the resolution. You simply have to be there – with your eyes protected by eclipse glasses, of course!
