The Lake is not only for fishing! See some of these other upcoming events for fall activities by the lake.
Eagle Watching
The Eagle Watch special event will take place October 19-21, although you can observe wintering bald eagles over the lake through January or February. Expert guides help visitors spot eagles and happily share their knowledge of the bald eagle’s lifestyle and habitat. The tour takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes and are daily (closed Thursday) at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Tickets are $22 for adults; $8.50 for children under 12.
Arkansas Fall Foliage on the Belle of the Ozarks
The same boat taking guests out for the Eagle watching also holds cruises throughout the week. This is a wonderful time to observe Arkansas fall foliage. Take a cruise on the Belle of the Ozarks, a large, open-platform style boat. The Belle of the Ozarks has navigated the lake for 18 years and the staff will keep you entertained talking about the local history. Just in case, take a sweater for the cool fall weather and sit on the open air deck enjoying the scenery and fall colors. There is a small snack bar on board with chips and soft drinks, etc. If you enjoy a quiet, slow ride on a lake and the weather is good, you should consider this on your next trip to Eureka Springs!
