If you are visiting Eureka Springs, you probably know that our city is renowned for being haunted! This may be part of your attraction to the city – and if so, we have a great Eureka Springs attraction for you: Intrigue Theater, and it’s just a short 2 minute walk from our inn.

Built around the age of Intrigue during the Victorian era, the performance is broken into two acts: the first is built around the illusionist and magician performances of Sean-Paul. The second act stars Juliana Fay, a medium and clairvoyant.

One morning at breakfast a couple of weeks ago we had three couples debating on just how Sean had accomplished some of his illusions. Lots of different theories and a lively conversation ensued, but, no one really knew . . . . maybe you can figure it out?

Intrigue Theater Act 1:

If you enjoyed the movie “The Illusionist” with Edward Norton, you might enjoy experiencing a similar performance live. Nationally-acclaimed Illusionist, Sean-Paul, engages the audience with a series of seemingly inexplicable mysteries.

Typical shows include magic demonstrations, “feats of astonishing mental capabilities,” and an especially impressive hypnosis demonstration with an audience member. According to the theater’s website, the individual will “regress back to a previous life and return with physical proof!”

Some new material was added to the show in 2012, including a demonstration of Voodoo that will bring even skeptics to the edge of their seats and a performance called “Romancing the Pendulum.”

Intrigue Theater Act II:

Explore the paranormal elements of spiritualism in a seance in the same manner as observed and celebrated in the 19th century.
With any luck, you will witness Juliana contact a spirit! There is new material in this section of the show as well. Called “The Spirits of Salem Massachusetts,” It turns out that some relics retrieved from Salem, MA on a recent trip may be imbibed with a spirit!
