Lots of fun things to do here in Eureka Springs. We like to walk to Basin Park once a month when they have ‘Drumming in the Park’. It’s like an impromptu jam session with all kinds of drums. In general they are all beating to the same rhythm, although once in a while you hear a lone drummer lost to the world beating to a different beat. There is no rehearsal, no scripted music, just doing your own thing. Really fun. Watch the video below and you’ll get an idea of what we mean.

Angelo, one of our local policeman, is a professional drummer who organizes the ‘Africa in the Ozarks’ festival and he leads this jam session.

If you are here when it’s going on, they have spare drums, tambourines and rattles so you can join in.
