War Eagle Mill Fall Arts and Crafts Fair
October 17th – 20th, 2013

It’s October and that means the Ozarks are about to come to life with – not ghouls and ghosts – but arts and crafts at the War Eagle Mill Fall Arts and Crafts Fair!

The War Eagle Mill Fall Arts and Crafts Fair isn’t just any arts and crafts fair, it’s THE Arkansas craft fair of the year.

Started in 1954, the aim of the fair has remained constant: to showcase the arts and crafts of the Ozarks and keep the unique and traditional crafts and art forms of the area from extinction. Since that first fair, attendance has increased to an estimated 130,000 or more people each year with sales exceeding $1 million.

I’ll pause here so you can wrap your head around that for a moment …

Over 300 exhibitors attend, offering original, handmade stoneware, paintings, pottery, dried arrangements, miniatures, jewelry, and more. Every contributing artisan undergoes a strict screening in order to be part of the fair, screening based on carefully enforced rules and standards that keep the War Eagle Mill Fall Arts and Crafts Fair’s offerings pure and unique to their Ozark tradition.

Each year some of our guests come back from the fair and do a “show and tell” with their purchases. Inevitably we see something we love and have to run down to the fair ourselves in hopes of snagging the craft ourselves.

People come from all over for this annual event, many of them return visitors who attend year after year, forming close friendships with the artisans and eager to add to their collections of one-of-a-kind, handmade Arkansas items.

The War Eagle Mill Fall Arts and Crafts Fair may be starting to sound like an overcrowded mess but it is far from that. A well-trained crew assists in parking, there are permanent restrooms, reasonably priced food and drink, and a free Fairbook listing the exhibitors – all on a historic farm, rimmed by wooded hills, with open areas for eating or simply taking in the rejuvenating air of the Ozarks.

Don’t miss it!
