The 2012 fall equinox on September 22 is less than a week away. The autumn season is bringing beautiful color to Eureka Springs and our Ozarks B&B. Before you know it, Halloween will be upon us. The historic flavor of our inn and the architecture of Eureka Springs lends just the right air for a spooky holiday. It’s a big event around here! We usually get about 400 kids and their parents who stop by, trick-or-treating in wonderful, unique and very cute costumes. It’s always a pleasure to hand out goodies to a darling little lightning bug with a flickering tail or a four-foot tall Spiderman!
There are also numerous Halloween parties throughout Eureka Springs. Two of our favorite events are the annual Howl-O-Ween and the Mad Hatter Ball.
Friday, October 26, 2012 Eureka Springs Mad Hatter Ball
Held at the Crescent Hotel at 75 Prospect Avenue from 6 to 10 pm, this annual costume ball features games and refreshments to benefit theĀ Eureka Springs School of the Arts (ESSA). Costumes are highly encouraged. But even without a costume, hats are required! Be sure to wear your hat–silly or otherwise. All ages are invited to join in the festivities.

Come to the Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge on Hwy 23 S. From 7 to 9 pm, the refuge will be open for this 17th annual Eureka Springs Halloween party. A family-friendly event, all are invited to dress up and see the lions and tigers at night. No alcohol, please.
It’s going to be another great Halloween! We hope to see you at our door trick-or-treating, helping us pass out candy or at these fun Eureka Springs, AR family-friendly events.
