Autumn is very nearly upon us and Eureka Springs is still alive with things to see and do. October sees the popular War Eagle Craft Fair 2019, Hillberry Music Festival, Eureka Springs Oktoberfest, and – of course – loads of fun Halloween events!
Eureka Springs is located in an area that’s already worth visiting for its endless natural beauty. And yet our little town continually ups the ante with festivals, concerts, art shows, and other entertaining happenings. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again. You’d be hard pressed to find a month in Eureka Springs that wasn’t stuffed to bursting with fun events.
October is no different with a variety of events followed by Halloween, which always brings out the best (and wackiest) in Eureka Springs. One of the first big events of the month is the annual Hillberry Music Festival.
Hillberry Music Festival 2019
October 10th through the 13th, 2019
The Farm – 1 Blue Heron Ln, Eureka Springs, AR 72631
Hillberry 2019 will see more than 20 bands in four days, including Railroad Earth, the Del McCoury Band, Leftover Salmon, and Billy Strings.
The event venue is on 160 acres against Mark Twain National Forest and boasts beautiful, panoramic views. Vendors will be on hand all four days with food, drink, and camping supplies.
Festival tickets are limited to 3,000 and sell out every year. Get yours now, while you still can, on the Hillberry Music Festival website
War Eagle Craft Fair 2019
October 17th through the 20th
11045 War Eagle Road, Rogers, AR 72756
War Eagle Craft Fair, Arkansas’ single largest arts and crafts event, has been an Ozark tradition since 1954. The four-day event draws more than 125,000 visitors each year, and why not?
This event is actually three craft fairs, featuring over 250 artisans, folded into one: War Eagle Mill Fall Arts and Crafts Fair, The Sharp Show, and War Eagle Fair.
You won’t go hungry perusing all the goods at the fair, either. War Eagle Craft Fair includes concessions on the grounds plus access to the Bean Palace Café on the Mill’s third floor. Grab yourself a rejuvenating snack as you shop or take break and sit down to a full meal.
Eureka Springs is only a short, scenic 30 minute drive from War Eagle Mill. Learn more at the War Eagle Craft Fair 2019 website.
Eureka Springs Oktoberfest 2019
October 19th, 10am to 5pm
Center Street in downtown Eureka Springs
Prost! Come sample the finest local and regional craft beers, seasonal beers, ciders, and even non-alcoholic drinks at Eureka Springs Oktoberfest. This year’s festivities will be right in the middle of downtown, between DeVito’s and Grotto Wood-Fired Grill on Center Street.
Tickets are only $20 and include a keepsake tasting mug and arm band for unlimited tasting. Designated drivers and other non-drinkers get in for only $5. Learn more at the Eureka Springs Oktoberfest website.
