Ah, autumn: bringer of gorgeous fall weather, brightly colored leaves, and best of all, Oktoberfest! Oktoberfest is the world’s largest beer festival. It lasts for 16 to 18 days in its home country, from mid or late September to the first weekend in October. It began in Munich in the early 1800’s became so popular that it is now celebrated around the world.

Visit the Eureka Springs Historical Museum

Eureka Springs Historical MuseumEureka Springs, Arkansas is not a large town but it is a colorful community with a colorful past – and there’s no better place to discover that than at the Eureka Springs Historical Museum.

Eureka Springs “sprang” into existence from the discovery of a spring of “healing waters” by one Dr. Alvah Jackson in the early 1850’s. His subsequent marketing of the water’s curative powers and the native American legends surrounding it brought a lot of attention and health seekers.

“We’ve Got Talent” Show

Coming up next month is the “We’ve Got Talent” show – a fundraiser for Opera in the Ozarks. The show is taking place on Sunday March 10th from 2:30 – 4 p.m. It is sure to be an entertaining display of talented adults and youth performers from all over Northwest Arkansas.

Are You Performing in “We’ve Got Talent?”

If you are coming into Eureka Springs to be a performer at the show, we would love to be your hosts. Come a day or two early and take in the sights and activities that Eureka Springs offers.

While you are in town, take advantage and explore some of the fun Eureka Springs offers. The Blue Spring Heritage Center is a beautiful spot with a spring, like the name suggests, and scenic gardens. The Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge is a great zoo with only rescued animals. If you like history, check out the Eureka Springs museum or take a ghost tour at the Crescent Hotel.
