First up, Thursday morning, the Short Course Autocross gives both new and experienced Corvette owners the opportunity to show off their skills in a low stress event.
Then, on Friday, there’s the Fuel Economy Run. Billed as ‘a pleasant drive through the Arkansas hills,’ this two-hour event covers over 100 miles. As the name implies, this trial is designed to test a vehicle’s gas mileage. Consequently, the contest has a category for every model of Corvette ever made and has been known to attract over 100 drivers.
The Owners Choice Auto Show Saturday morning gives spectators the chance to vote for their favorite vehicles, followed by the Poker Run. At approximately 60 miles long, the Poker Run has a time limit of 2 and a half hours with winners determined by strongest poker hand.
Awards for the winners of all contests and the Auto Show will be given out preceding The Parade of Champions, Saturday evening: a chance for the winners to strut their stuff and enthusiasts to cheer them on.
Sunday morning wraps the weekend up with one more chance to see the assembled Corvettes as they line up for the Departing Caravan at 10am.
With contests, races, a parade, and rides for kids, Corvette Weekend is something the whole family can enjoy … or even if you can’t, the majority of the event is centrally located, so you can do some shopping while the car nuts in your family go ape at the Corvette nirvana.
